We are totally sex-positive so of course we love the video.  However an article from Rob Williams of The Independent quotes the rather overconfident Jo Hodges of London College of Communication. who describes it as "an open celebration of the joys of safer sex that targets people of all different ages, sexual orientations/preferences and genders."

All? Dubious, but lets count the ways

We congratulate the filmmakers for creating something that quickly shows a great swath of sexual representation, no matter the ignorance of some British experts.

At first we were mighty slighted by ignoring the quickly growing bikeseuxal segment of our population. But upon further contemplation, it is actually a compliment. We Come Together's mission is to bring sexual awareness to people who need it most, thus they must consider bikesexuals to already be ahead of the sex-positive curve for safe behavior. Frankly we agree. People who use their bodies for transportation may be more likely to be aware of the dangers of exposing their skin. Take for example our recent photo submission from Australia.

 We take serious pride in that compliment. Moreover we encourage you to engage a cyclist with some full face protection!

It is difficult to explain bike culture or sex culture to a person who has never been in a fun group ride or ever fucked in a strange place. People are made to feel insecure about their choice of transportation and/or their choice about sex. From insecurity comes all manner of emotions but rarely curiosity.

Most people look at bikers and perverts as an other, as something different. When we see more differences than similarities we are given the ability to distance ourselves. "They are not like me; I am not like that." How are we supposed to be able to learn and adapt when we have so many hangups?

This video takes a look at what a lot of people think of when they hear the word "bikes" and the word "porn". Seven years of traveling and screening independent films from all over the world have taught us to keep our minds open, because there always seems to be something new . We hope we can continue to explore the universe with bright-eyed curiosity!

ReMembering Bike Love in Toronto

Well it happens. You are excited to travel, you have all sorts of plans, you expect to meet all manner of people AND YOU DO!

Perhaps you saw it on Queer Porn Tube already, or maybe someone was Tweeting or FaceCracking about it or maybe you are a regular on FleshBot (they wrote about this a week ago already!), if so this might not be that exciting, but if not hold on for the most graphic and consensual trailer of bike fucking porn you have ever seen!

This is something we touched on years ago when we first heard about Make Love Not Porn.  We live in a society with a generation of kids whose parents do not want to engage in awkward conversations about sex and whose health programs are under attack by puritanical "abstinence only" sexual fear mongers. Thus these youth are learning about sex from the only available source.

For although we really do appreciate bikes in their various forms, all objects are still objects and thus subject to the individual's subjective ideas on objectivity! (heh) Since any object could be taken any way (as demonstrated above) we have chosen to target the emotion and experience of utilizing that object. Normally we are a bit snobbish about the experience of cycling being far superior, but then there are certain delights that are not easily achieved... like sleeping or staring out of a window, or getting a rim job in a bathroom. These activities are more the province of mass transit.
